The Challenge

Our client provides support for all county systems in a major metropolitan area and has been challenged to support their Mainframe environment, as have others, due to staff losses.

The Solution

Our involvement with this client began in May 2012 and continues today.  GTSG provides a single Mainframe Specialist to assist in a staff augmentation model.  Our resource supports a variety of products and technologies, including z/OS and CICS.

GTSG continues to provide the following services:

  1. z/OS and ISV support for:
    1. z/OS and tightly integrated IBM products
    2. z/OS ISV products
    3. Computer Associates ISV Support
  2. Disaster Recovery Planning and Testing
  3. CICS and CICS ISV support for:
    1. CICS core product
    2. CICS ISV
    3. CICS upgrades and maintenance
  4. 24 x 7 on-call support for all technology groups where we were involved

Client Benefits

Our work is performed with little direction or support from the client.  Although structured as a Staff Augmentation model, we set our own direction and goals based upon our understanding of the client’s objectives and priorities.
